1840, letter from February 1840 posted from Belgrade to Pest prior opening of the Serbian Post Office in Belgrade ( 25 th May 1840), showing in manuscript "iz Belgrada - from Belgrade" at top left, charged by 2 Kr. in cash for transfer over Danube to Semlin to forwarder "Joh. Theohar, Semlin", where the letter was disinfected at Quarantine Station with the postmark "NETTO DI FUORA ET DI DENTRO" on reverse; attractive forerunner of Serbian postal service to Austria
